It's about time for an update!

I can't believe it's been so long since our last post. Alexis was born on January 30, 2009 a healthy happy baby at 7lbs 5oz. This is a testament to how crazy life has been since then, and my addiction to Facebook has kept me from blogging. The birth happened quite unexpectedly - I was 5 days late and there were still no signs at all that Alexis was coming out. I had decided that she must want to stay in there forever! It all started with my water breaking while we were eating dinner (just like in the movies) and a few minutes later I was into strong contractions. 13 hours later we met our gorgeous little girl. This was the most amazing experience of my life (and Richard's too). It is so exciting to grow and learn with this little person. Okay, now that we've filled in the major gaps I will be updating this blog on a more regular basis! Stay tuned for pics and videos :)
